people will always let you down

This is something I have learned, taken in, and now definitely fucking believe.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not cynical and not a hateful person.
However, how can you rely on someone other than yourself?
There is never going to be someone that will always be there for you, everyime.

Yes, they can tell you that they will be there for you, and the intent for help is there.

You can talk to me and I will tell you to your face that I will be there for you. I will not let you down, and I will look you dead in the eyes with the most sincerity I can gather. Know that I am lieing. I am looking at you, telling you that I would love to help you in every way possible. I am even promising you right now, but believe me that I am not telling you the truth. I can't be. Don't rely on an early promise of that someone to always be there. You are unable to promie something like that.

Once you have accepted that people will always let you down, you will learn to be able to help yourself on your own. (Which is one fucking thing that kids of today need to learn, and need to learn quick.) Know that they do not want to intentially let you down.

it's just human nature. You can't control the inevitable.
